SURGERY

My surgery is right around the corner. I go this Monday July 27th at 6:30 a.m.

I'm having a 3 level cervical fusion. Old sport injury. I plan on learning all exercises that are wise to do when I can exercise again and those that are not good to do for people with cervical fused discs.

I want to do a free online workout for people with my situation. You can find good exercises but putting them in an effective order is challenging if you aren't trained to do that.

Some PT's are great with post exercises some are uninformed. I'm so grateful that my background will help me present questions if moves they use seem unwise. If read some scary stuff on post neck forums.

Anyway, wish me luck and I hope to be able to post with GREAT news.

EXERCISE HEALS!

Exercise is so amazing! I'm training for my upcoming surgery.

Due to a sport injury I need to have 3 discs fused in my neck. I lost use of my left arm several years back due to that injury and from the looks of my MRI I shouldn't be able to do much with it now. BUT I CAN!

It's all from doing strength training. Strength training is crucial for all women but those of us with physical issues MUST do strength training!

I may lose use of my arm after the surgery because I won't be able to strength train for a while. But I have confidence about regaining the use of my left arm if that happens. I hope not but you just never know.

Check out my strength training DVDs at www.getrealfit.org if you're dealing with a physical weakness or you just want to get in great shape. The routines are highly effective!

KEEP TRYING!

I go for surgery July 27th. Wish me luck! I'll be down for a while but pray I'm able to heal super fast!

I just had so much fun doing a new workout I was going to shoot in October this year. Maybe I can do it next year or the year after. Uggg! I took all of the bounce out of it. If you can't go high go low! I got a good burn.

This new workout is an ab workout. It has lots of hip wiggling! I had to take out all moves over head too. That's really tough on people with neck issues.

I'm so glad I had a low impact girl in each of my DVDs. Now I'll be following them :)

If you can exercise DO IT! For those of us that are grounded it's "I wish I were you" time.

POWER

It's important to not let anyone take your power.

Each and everyone of us has power. It may not feel like that sometimes but we do.

There are times for all of us when we feel less than. We feel like we just don't measure up to someone or something. Those are the times positive self talk is a must!

Exercise can help you get your power back in more than one way.

When you're feeling like you just don't count a good workout can help you clear your mind of the destructive talk and replace it with positive, useful thoughts.

Exercise increases the "feel good" hormones so thinking about positives ways to view your situation is easier.

Exercise also adds power to your body.

Powerful mind. Powerful body.

Exercise is powerful!
