My Doggies Brighten My Life

I want to thank you for your response to the "Getting Older" post. That meant a lot.

My life has changed "a lot" due to my spinal surgery. I've had to give up so much I have loved. I had to close my martial art school and quit teaching fitness. I will never be able to do the things I use to. That's the bad news.

The good news is that I have learned to adapt. I am heavily into my doggies now. I shared before about my special girl "Betty". She underwent 3 surgeries by the time she was just 6 months old. She was born with no moisture in the right side of her face. Her right eye had to be removed. I moisturize her right nostril daily because it too is dry but does not cause the pain her eye did. She is so sweet. It's a pleasure to take care of her.

Beau is our new addition. I got him for Betty but he's turned out to add to my life too. He is very loving and kind but a bit stubborn. He keeps my mind busy trying to out smart him.

They both add so much to my life.

I get lots of exercise with my doggies. We play ball, hike and have little races. I'm not allowed to run more than short spurts but I'm still fast and love to compete so we get into it together.

Finding those things that make you happy is important. Sometimes you have to reach really deep to find what makes you happy but it's time well spent. I'm 61 and doing GREAT! You can do it too. Go find your bliss!!!

Take care

Lynn
