Live Out Your Dreams

It's so important to hold onto your dreams!

Everyone needs a reason to get up in the morning.

My family and friends are what comes to mind when I first awake. Then I'm excited to follow my dreams.

I've dreamed about being involved in the arts since I was a child. My family were artists. I didn't know what form that would take for me.

My business "Get Real Fit" has given me opportunities to delve into so many different aspects of the arts. I just love it!

I get to choreograph fitness routines for you. I work on my blog and my website. I will be doing a podcast which will be so much fun!

I get to use my acting training on camera when I do the DVDs. I have a background in radio which will help with the podcasts. I use to do radio commercials when I was a lot younger!

It's all so fun and wonderful!

Everyone has a dream. I know my husband dreams of owning a pet store after he retires. Another friend wants to own a tea store. All dreams are so great.

Few people get to make a living out of what they dream about doing. That should not stop you from doing what you love and dream about. Money is only one reward.

I think overeating can stem from not taking steps toward your childhood dreams.

Being successful is not up to others. It's up to you. What looks like success to some is not success to others.

I challenge you to take a step toward your dream next time you want to hit the refrigerator. That will add to your health and well being more than anything the refrigerator has to offer!

Workouts Shouldn't Leave You Feeling Stupid

Do you ever feel like "why don't I look like that?" while you're doing the latest and greatest workout DVD. Often the girls on the DVD look like they live in the gym.

Do you ever feel like "why was I given two left feet?" and had to keep the remote next to you so you can stop and figure out what they just did over and over.

I know I've felt like that and I'm a fitness specialist. Some of the routines used currently are really tough to learn.

Few of them have an instructional section for you to learn the more difficult moves. That can discourage anyone from working out. I really try to make our workouts doable. I always have a moderator doing low impact so those who can't do high impact moves can follow the moderator. I have an instructional section in each of my workouts so you can learn the more challenging moves before you begin.

I also use girls that are in great shape but don't have ripped abs and skinny butts. They don't live at the gym but are very healthy.

We aren't fancy but we are good.

I do use martial art moves in my aerobic DVDs but they are doable moves. Don't let that scare you.

The martial arts have been used for 1000's of years for fitness purposes. The moves simply work. They challenge your body in ways standard exercise can't.

If you want to get in great shape, feel good about yourself and have fun. Check out my workouts at  http://www.getrealfit.org/products.html

You'll walk away feeling challenged but good about yourself and your choice to take care of yourself!

Our workouts aren't fancy but they are great!

Choosing The Right Fitness Coach

There's something to be said for experience.

There are so many workout DVDs to choose from now days which is a good thing.

It can get confusing deciding which instructor to train with though.

I'm a bit older than some of the trainers but that adds up to a plus.

I have a lot of hands on experience.

I've been working in the fitness industry since 1969. That's when aerobics started to bloom.

I've had the advantage of seeing what works and what doesn't. I've seen what causes benefits and what moves cause injuries.

I worked for several companies and then had my own company prior to starting "Get Real Fit".

In the picture above you can see by the ridiculous outfit I had on that it was taken in the 80's. One of my accounts was the navy. I worked with the over weight sailors.

I learned a tremendous amount of information with that experience and many others.

I'd like to share that experience with you in this blog and on my informational site www.realwomensfitnesstips.com

I would also like to offer you well thought out fitness DVDs designed for women at www.getrealfit.org

There's something to be said for experience. Visit my other websites and see what I have to offer you.

Finding The Right Fitness Equipment?

All fitness equipment is not equal!

Strength training is one of my specialties. I have a lot of different certifications from courses I've taken to maintain my certification with the American Council on Exercise.

I think strength training is crucial for your health.

I'm not a big believer in machines for weight training. If you have an injury they're helpful because the machines help your body stabilize.

Now that may sound good but if you have no injuries it's not the ideal.

Muscles lift, lower and stabilize. Working all those functions is the best way to strength train.

I love free weights as well as elastic bands and rings for equipment. They do the job and are less expensive than machines. Elastic bands and rings are highly affordable, travel with you to work or where ever you go.

I've checked out the companies that supply the best equipment and created the Equipment page on my website take you to those manufactures. I picked a variety of online stores so you'll be able to get all that you need on our site.

Give the site a visit and check out the http://www.getrealfit.org/equipment.html page to purchase great equipment.

Simple Can Be Good

Have you seen the movie "Got Mail"?

I love that movie. It's about a girl that owns a small specialty book store.

It's a wonderful store and the girl knows ton's about books and loves to share that knowledge and help people find the perfect book just for them. It's a very "simple" store with great stuff and warm people.

All is well until a big corporate book store comes along and takes away her business. It's sad.

Course in the movie she and the big corporate owner fall in love and all ends well, but that movie reminds me of my company.

We are small and I like that. I don't want to be like some of the fitness personalities that lose control of their companies. I don't want a manager telling me what to do.

Our website is nice and warm. Our products cozy. The workouts very effective. The production is simple. We focus on providing good workouts not fancy productions.

I don't want to lose that quality.

My goal is to create workouts that every woman can do.

Yes, the aerobic workouts have martial art moves in them but they are doable moves and we have a moderator in each aerobic workout so if you're new to exercise or have health issues that prevent high impact, you can still get great benefits from the workouts.

Our site will not "WOW" you but it will provide you with great products. We are affiliated with several hand picked equipment companies as well so you not only get workouts but the equipment you need to get in great shape.

We also give you fantastic information on our tips page. It takes you to www.realwomensfitnesstips.com a site I created just for you. It gives you lots of information and links to other sites that offer specialty information.

Give us a visit and see what we can do for you. Exercise without argument is one of the best things you can do for your health.

We are simple but simply good!
